Security Officer - Tech Campus Patrol

As a Security Officer - Tech Campus Patrol in Ann Arbor, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech / Media / Telecom, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within a dynamic tech and media environment, helping to deter security-related incidents through your visible presence. You will interact with employees and visitors, providing outstanding customer service and clear communication. Pay Rate : $15.00 / Hour

What You'll Do :

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and respond appropriately to emergency situations as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing training and established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including both business areas and the perimeter, to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
  • Maintain awareness of surroundings within a technology, media, and telecom environment, and report any unusual or suspicious activity.
  • Document incidents and observations according to Allied Universal and client procedures.
  • Interact professionally with employees, visitors, and / or guests to provide assistance and information as required.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ years old for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
