Description :

The Lawrence Herbert School of Communication is pleased to invite applications for an enthusiastic adjunct faculty in the Department of Journalism, Media Studies, and Public Relations (JMSPR) at Hofstra University to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in public relations, strategic communication, and reputation management. Courses may also include online tools, writing, international public relations, media and influencer relations, and audience research.

Adjunct faculty may be occasionally called upon to supervise internships and independent study.

The ideal candidate for an adjunct instructor of journalism will have :

• Current professional experience in journalism or a related field
• Teaching experience in higher education
• Availability to teach in-person, daytime courses

$1,458-$1,711 per credit hour
