The Warehouse Supervisor position is a non-exempt role within the Truck Parts & Service department, supervises the drivers and warehouse assistant, and reports directly to the Branch Manager. The Warehouse Supervisor role supports Betts Company’s mission by coordinating, delivering, organizing, and maintaining the integrity of parts inventory required to effectively service customers. This position plays an important part in daily branch operations and requires a high level of collaboration, accountability, and attention to detail. Success in the role depends on working closely with internal teams while upholding company values and supporting efficient, accurate, and safe warehouse operations.
Responsibilities & Duties Level 1 Responsibilities :
- Verify, check in, unload incoming deliveries, and complete required documentation
- Stock materials neatly, securely, and in designated locations
- Store materials according to identifying attributes (style, size, type)
- Pull parts for the service shop and deliver to staging areas
- Fill customer orders for delivery, pickup, or shipment
- Ensure outgoing shipments are accurate, properly packaged, and documented
- Operate lift trucks to move merchandise, supplies, and equipment and load / unload trucks
- Perform daily cycle counts and maintain accurate inventory records in software
- Restock and maintain organized showroom
- Coordinate warehouse activities with sales and delivery team
- Inspect warehouse facilities and equipment; report issues to Branch Manager
- Complete daily equipment logs and file shipping invoices correctly
Level 2 Responsibilities :
Perform all Level 1 dutiesVerify quality of delivered materials and confirm accuracy against invoicesPlan route maps to improve delivery driver efficiencyTrack and post Geotab safe-driving goals and resultsTrack, sort, and ship brake shoe coresCommunicate shipping discrepancies directly with vendorsProcess RMAs and vendor warranty claimsLevel 3 / Lead Responsibilities :
Perform all Level 1 and Level 2 dutiesConduct facility planning to ensure safe working conditionsEnsure warehouse infractions are corrected within 30 daysCoordinate monthly branch safety meetingsOrder branch supplies including PPE and seasonal safety equipmentResearch and resolve inventory discrepanciesTrack uniform company performance and review invoicesProvide leadership to warehouse and driving team membersConduct delivery driver performance evaluationsTools & Equipment Used :
Forklifts and pallet jacks (manual and electric)Hand trucks, carts, laddersBox cutters, tape dispensers, packing materialsBarcode scanners and label printersCell phones, GPS devices, standard office equipmentInventory and shipping softwareDesktop computers or tabletsPPE (safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, steel-toe boots)Banders, shrink-wrap equipment, electronic scalesCompany trucks or vans for customer deliveriesRequirements :
Education & Experience :
High School Diploma or GED (required)Minimum 1 year of warehouse or automotive shop experience (preferred)Forklift experience or certification (preferred)Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :
Strong organizational skills and pride in maintaining a clean, orderly warehouseAccurate and efficient inventory management abilitiesHigh attention to detail and thorough documentation skillsAbility to correctly identify automotive partsClear written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work collaboratively with drivers, Branch Manager, counter sales, and service teamsStrong sense of ownership over product integrity and accuracySafety-focused mindsetPhysical Demands :
Ability to meet physical requirements necessary to perform essential job functions, including :Lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling varying weights (including over 100 lbs at times)
