The Supervisor of Electrical and Low Voltage Systems is responsible for overseeing the maintenance, repair, and installation of all electrical and low voltage systems within the hospital. This includes ensuring the uninterrupted operation of power distribution systems, emergency backup systems, fire alarms, communication systems, security systems, access control systems, camera systems, the tube system and other critical infrastructure. The Supervisor will lead a team of technicians, coordinate with contractors, and ensure compliance with safety standards, regulations, and hospital policies.
Education :
Required : High school diploma or GED required.
Preferred : Graduation from a technical school in field of study related to electrical or mechanical maintenance.
Experience :
Required : 5 years' experience with industrial or heavy commercial electrical systems.
Preferred : Two or more years in a supervisory role in electrical systems.

Department Position Summary :
Responsible for overseeing the installation, maintenance and repair of all electrical and low voltage systems on the Baroness and other assigned campuses, including : power distribution, fire alarm, camera systems, access control systems, building automation, tube system and low voltage cabling.
Interviews, evaluates and recommends candidates for open positions and conducts annual performance evaluations.
Ensures that all work is conducted in a safe manner and in compliance with health system standards and regulatory / code compliance.
Ensures that all team members conduct work in accordance with infection prevention standards.
Maintains accurate records in accordance with DNV Standards of Care.
Coordinates with effected departments to schedule shutdowns and service interruptions in the safest and least intrusive manner to hospital operations.
Monitors and controls inventory and purchasing practices to maximize value to Erlanger.
Negotiates vendor contracts and consistently looks for ways to enhance department performance while reducing operating costs.
Ensures that department response to work orders and service issues are always conducted in the most efficient of manners and with the highest standards of customer service.
