Job Title : Case Manager
Reports To : Compliance Manager or Regional Director
About the Role :
We’re looking for a thoughtful and organized Case Manager to support special education programs across our school partners. You’ll guide IEP and 504 processes, ensure compliance with federal and state requirements, supervise special education staff, and collaborate closely with teachers, families, and administrators. Your work helps students receive the services and support they need to be successful.
What You’ll Do :
Coordinate IEP and 504 meetings, maintain timelines, and ensure full compliance with state and local guidelines
Create, maintain, and audit records and documentation to meet legal and administrative requirements
Assess and monitor student needs and help design individualized instructional methods and supports
Oversee special education services and ensure they are delivered as outlined in the IEP
Collaborate with the District Discipline Team to ensure fair and appropriate interventions for students with behavior concerns
Address problems or emergencies through investigation, data review, and action planning
Support the Testing Coordinator by ensuring students have proper documentation for accommodations
Supervise and support special education teachers and paraprofessionals including scheduling, onboarding, coaching, and performance improvement when needed
Ensure staff understand and follow FERPA and other state or federal requirements
Build strong relationships with teachers, administrators, families, and outside agencies to support student needs
Lead departmental meetings and participate in committees, trainings, and school-based initiatives
Perform other related duties as assigned
What We’re Looking For :
Master’s degree in special education, curriculum and instruction, or a related field (degree may be in progress)
Illinois PEL with LBS1 endorsement
Relevant certification such as Supervisor, Administrator, or Director of Special Education (may be in progress)
At least three years of special education experience
Strong understanding of special education requirements in K-12 settings
Excellent communication skills with careful attention to detail
Ability to build strong, collaborative relationships and provide clear guidance to staff
High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
Strong problem solving skills, logical thinking, and comfort working with data
Ability to manage time effectively and handle multiple priorities
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other web-based tools

Extended periods of sitting and computer work
