Summary :

Develops, directs, and executes plans for major segments of complex projects. Compiles and analyzes operational, test and research data to establish technical specification and performance standards for newly designed or modified products / processes. Reviews progress of projects against design criteria and standards; recommends appropriate revisions. Develops and contributes to the development of proprietary positions for Switchback. Takes a leadership role in the application and advancement of technologies developed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (but are not limited to) :

Leadership

• Work closely with customers and others to define product specifications and product realization.
• Perform engineering and technical work involved in planning, organizing and coordinating detailed information required to develop new products from concept to final product realization.
• Perform detailed product design through adherence to established design control processes.
• Develop and manage strategy to bring products through the engineering cycle.
• Budget operational activities to ensure continuous funding based on appropriate priorities.
• Coordinate intellectual property strategy.
