Job Description

As a Security Guard - Government Day Shift Patrol in Bronx, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while remaining highly visible. You will conduct routine patrols, provide access control, and deliver outstanding customer service through strong communication. What You'll Do :

  • Provide customer service by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter potential issues and observe for unusual activity.
  • Document observations and report any security-related incidents or concerns to Allied Universal management and / or site leadership.
  • Assist visitors, staff, and residents with security-related inquiries and directions as appropriate.
  • Support access control by monitoring entrances and exits and verifying credentials as required by site policies.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
