Key Responsibilities of the Travel ICU Registered Nurse:

• Provide high-acuity nursing care to critically ill and post-surgical patients
• Administer medications, manage ventilators, and titrate vasoactive drips as ordered
• Perform comprehensive assessments and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary team members
• Operate and maintain critical care equipment safely and effectively
• Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with hospital and regulatory standards
• Support patient and family education regarding recovery and care planning

Requirements of the Travel ICU Registered Nurse:

• Active RN license (Illinois or compact state)
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum of 2 years of recent ICU experience in an acute care hospital
• Strong assessment, technical, and critical thinking skills
• Experience with ventilator management, hemodynamic monitoring, and emergency response
