•Bachelor's degree in Computer or an engineering-related field with 8+ years of experience
• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) (Desired)
Required experience:
• 3-6 years of progressively responsible IT job-related experiences
• Must have knowledge of configuration commands, software, and hardware components related to WLAN
• WLAN implementation and support, knowledge of risk domains, tiered domains, TCP/IP fundamentals, ethernet, QoS, IP subnetting, cabling (copper & fiber), OSPF, VLAN Trunking, VLANs, and switching configuration.
• Functional experience with LAN operations and implementation utilizing Cisco switches.
• Cisco WLAN devices/products (i.e., AireOS, 9800's, etc.)
• Attention to detail
• Effective communication skills
Desired experience:
• Experience with automation technologies and scripting
• Relevant work experience with medium to large companies
• Must have knowledge of configuration commands, software, and hardware components related to WLAN
Job Duties:
• As a WLAN Analyst, you will have the opportunity to work both independently and as part of a team on complex network projects.
• You will develop your professional network and leadership skills as you support a wide variety of network-related solutions.
• You will also utilize your technical skillset and business understanding to help solve critical business problems.
• This role will work with the WLAN team to provide support for all client locations across the Americas.
• Work directly on WLAN issue identification and resolution, including off-shift and weekend support functions
• Participate in integrated testing and user acceptance of application or infrastructure components
• Work actively with business partners and vendors with integration of infrastructure
• Implement WLAN designs
• Work with the expanded WLAN team to implement processes and/or process improvements to aid in development and support
• Maintain and administer WLAN, including hardware, software, application software, and configurations.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve WLAN hardware, software, or other network and system problems.
• Participate in an on-call rotation with team members, approximately 1 week every 8 weeks
