Software Engineer - Java and Python

Salary : $80,000 - 110,000 per year

Requirements :

• Associate’s degree in Programming, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Over 3 years of experience in web development covering both front-end and back-end aspects
• Expertise in one or more modern programming languages / frameworks such as JavaScript, TypeScript, PHP, Python, SQL
• Experience with WordPress (Multi-Site experience is advantageous)
• Familiarity with Angular, .NET, and full-stack development practices
• Strong experience working with REST APIs
• Understanding of asynchronous requests, AJAX, and partial page updates
• Knowledge of responsive design and accessibility principles
• Proficient in browser testing, debugging, and familiar with integrated development environments (IDEs)
• Solid skills in general office and CRM software, with Microsoft Dynamics being preferred
• Experience in a manufacturing or engineering setting is beneficial

Responsibilities :

Serve as a technical builder, problem-solver, project leader, and collaborative partner across the organization

Support and improve key internal systems, including our WordPress website, ERP platform, CORES configuration software, and custom data management tools

Lead meetings with cross-functional teams to help stakeholders articulate their needs while maintaining a calm and engaging presence

Transform business objectives into intuitive workflows, user interfaces, and software applications

Independently create full-stack solutions utilizing PHP, Python, JavaScript / TypeScript, SQL, Angular, among other frameworks

Oversee projects from problem identification through to solution implementation, ensuring effective communication, alignment, and follow-through

Conduct testing, debugging, and refining to ensure system reliability and performance

Act as a meeting facilitator and technical liaison, adept at managing various personalities to maintain productivity

Develop thorough documentation for processes, systems, designs, workflows, and training materials for end-users

Mentor junior developers and contribute to the growth of team knowledge

Engage in code reviews, architectural discussions, and design planning

Manage and resolve issues using our IT ticketing and task management systems

Assist with off-hours deployments and maintenance as required
