Logistics Warehouse Clerk

The Logistics Warehouse Clerk supports daily warehouse operations by coordinating inbound and outbound shipments, maintaining accurate inventory records, and ensuring that all materials are handled efficiently and safely. This role requires strong attention to detail, computer proficiency, and the ability to communicate effectively with drivers, warehouse associates, and management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process inbound and outbound shipments, verifying documentation for accuracy
  • Perform data entry and updates in Ryders Warehouse Management System
  • Schedule and coordinate deliveries, pickups, and transfers
  • Assist with inventory control activities, including cycle counts and stock reconciliation
  • Generate daily, weekly, and monthly shipping / receiving and inventory reports
  • Communicate with carriers, customers, and internal departments to resolve shipment or inventory issues
  • Maintain organized records of warehouse documents and shipping files
  • Support warehouse operations by ensuring compliance with Ryder safety standards and operational procedures
  • Assist in general administrative tasks related to logistics and warehouse operations

Qualifications

Required :

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 12 years of experience in a warehouse, logistics, or inventory control environment
  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook; WMS or ERP systems experience preferred)
  • Excellent organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving abilities
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

    • Preferred :

  • Experience in a third-party logistics (3PL) or transportation environment
  • Familiarity with SAP, Oracle, or Ryder-specific logistics systems
  • Forklift certification (if applicable)
