Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Payroll Specialist to join a dynamic financial services company in Roseville, California. This contract position is ideal for someone with a strong background in payroll processing who is ready to contribute immediately. The role involves handling multi-state payroll and ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
Responsibilities:
• Process payroll for 300–500 employees on a bi-weekly, semi-monthly, or monthly basis using UKG (Ultimate Kronos Group) software.
• Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local payroll regulations, including tax withholdings, wage laws, and reporting standards.
• Manage all payroll adjustments, including new hires, terminations, pay changes, bonuses, and commissions.
• Reconcile payroll reports and promptly resolve any discrepancies.
• Handle payroll tax filings, benefit deductions, garnishments, and levies with accuracy.
• Collaborate with HR to maintain accurate employee data, benefits information, and leave balances.
• Address employee payroll inquiries professionally and in a timely manner.
• Prepare payroll documentation and reports to support audits.
• Maintain confidentiality and ensure the security of payroll records.
• Stay informed about changes in payroll laws and practices, particularly in multi-state environments.• At least 3 years of experience in payroll processing, ideally in a multi-state setting.
• Proven ability to handle payroll for 300–500 employees.
• Proficiency with UKG (Ultimate Kronos Group) payroll software.
• Strong understanding of federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Experience with full-cycle payroll, including adjustments and reconciliations.
• Ability to manage payroll inquiries and resolve issues efficiently.
• Knowledge of best practices in payroll compliance and reporting.
