About the Role
We’re looking for a technically skilled and field‐savvy Field Applications Engineer to support our product line of glass shower doors, interior doors, and shower pans. This role is ideal for someone who understands manufacturing processes, enjoys solving problems, and can confidently support installers, contractors, and customers.
You’ll serve as the bridge between our engineering, manufacturing, and field installation teams—helping ensure our products perform exactly as designed.
Qualifications
- Experience in manufacturing engineering, preferably with glass, glazing, doors, or building products
- Hands-on installation experience in construction or specialty building materials
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to read technical drawings
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to travel up to 15%
- Valid driver’s license
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing or continuous improvement principles
- Experience with CAD or technical documentation
- Background in residential or commercial construction environments
Key Responsibilities
Technical & Engineering Support
- Provide expert-level understanding of manufacturing processes for glass, doors, and shower systems
- Review product designs, installation requirements, and technical specifications
- Offer feedback to engineering and production teams to improve manufacturability and field performance
Field Installation & Troubleshooting
- Support installers and contractors during onsite installations
- Diagnose and resolve product or installation issues in the field
- Conduct site visits (approx. 15% travel) to ensure proper installation practices
Customer & Partner Support
- Serve as the technical point of contact for customers, builders, and distributors
- Deliver product training, installation guidance, and best practices
- Assist with warranty evaluations and technical documentation
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with project management, manufacturing, quality, and product development teams
- Communicate field insights to drive continuous improvement
- Participate in product testing and validation
