LHH has partnered with an established company to hire an experienced hands-on Controller in Dallas, TX to lead the accounting operations and oversee the financial integrity of their multi-location organization. The ideal candidate will take ownership of the full-cycle close process, streamline workflows, and lead a small but dedicated accounting support team.

What You'll Be Doing
Your day-to-day work will be diverse and meaningful. Core duties include :
Manage the monthly close process and ensure timely consolidation of financial recordsPrepare internal financial reports and external statements for management and stakeholdersReview account balances through customized reports and database queries to ensure accuracy before submissionCoordinate annual financial statement reviews with external CPAs and ensure timely audit completionSupervise payroll and accounts payable processes, ensuring accuracy and complianceAdminister and file sales tax, payroll tax, and property tax obligationsEnsure the implementation and maintenance of strong internal controls and best accounting practicesOversee tax return preparation and filing at both federal and state levelsManage resolution of vendor payment issues and participate in cost negotiationsAnalyze annual medical insurance plans and lead employee benefits rolloutWhat We're Looking For
To be successful in this role, you should have :
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA a plus10+ years of full cycle accounting experience and 3+ managing and leading a teamRetail, Restaurant or multi location company experience is a plusSolid understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standardsProven ability to meet tight deadlines and manage concurrent prioritiesExperience with accounting software such as Sage, MS Access , SQL and POS systemsCapable of managing confidential information with discretionExcellent organizational and communication skillsProactive, flexible, and self-motivated with a collaborative team spiritIf you're ready to grow in a stable, reputable organization and play a key role in its financial operations, we'd love to hear from you!
