Must-Have :

Must have completed 2-3 travel assignments.

Must have 2-3 years of emergency room experience.

Description :

The emergency department has 27 beds and 50 staff, including 25 medics.

Day shift typically consists of 1 charge nurse, 5 RNs, and 2-3 medics.

The staffing increases by 4-5 RNs at 11 AM and by 1-2 RNs at 3 PM.

Night shift consists of 1 charge nurse, 5 RNs, and 2-3 medics.

Patient ratios are 4-6 : 1.

The department uses Meditech for electronic medical records.

Candidates with experience in high acuity emergency rooms or fast-paced environments with high patient volumes will be prioritized.

Experience with patient ratios of 5 : 1 is preferred.

Typical procedures include RSI, sepsis interventions, stroke protocol with tPA administration, central line placement, care of psych patients, and transfers to other facilities.

The ideal candidate will be relaxed, easy-going, friendly, team-oriented, and respectful.

Floating to other areas is not required.

The dress code includes navy blue or white scrubs.

There is no on-call requirement.

Weekend shifts involve working four weekends in a four-week scheduling period, with options for Friday or Saturday nights and Saturday or Sunday days.
