Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An opportunity is available for experienced Special Education Teachers to support K-12 students in public schools located in Harvey, LA. This contract position offers a chance to work within Jefferson Parish schools from ASAP through May 22, 2026. Educators will contribute to personalized learning plans and promote inclusive environments suited to diverse special education needs.
Key Responsibilities :
- Deliver specialized instruction tailored to individual student goals for K-12 learners
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, families, and support staff to enhance student development
- Monitor and document student progress through assessments and reporting
- Ensure pliance with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and state regulations
- Foster a supportive classroom atmosphere that encourages student engagement and success
