Position Summary

You will perform cardiopulmonary and neurological diagnostic studies and provide therapeutic modalities for both inpatients and outpatients.

Position Requirements

Earned a Cardio Respiratory Care diploma or degree with RRT certification only.
Registered / Certified by the NBRC or possess 1 year of Respiratory Care experience.
Tennessee State license with ABG endorsement.
NRP, PALS, ACLS certified within 6 months of hire.
BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.

Workplace Experience

Experience in Patient Care Delivery is essential.

Equipment and Skills Training

You should be familiar with various medical equipment including Network Computer Systems, Blood Gas Machines, Ventilators, EKG Machines, and more.

Physical Requirements

Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.

Capable of standing and walking for up to twelve hours.

Able to lift up to 250 lbs with assistance.

Performance Standards

Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients using observation and communication skills.

Plan individualized patient care, identifying specific needs and appropriate interventions.

Administer and document medications accurately, reporting any abnormal findings.

Reassess patients regularly and communicate effectively with the care team.

Provide education to patients and families regarding their care.

Work independently with various treatments and ensure adherence to policy standards.

Maintain a therapeutic environment for patients and families.

Monitor equipment and supplies, ensuring functionality and readiness.

Initiate and document appropriate airway management as required.

Assist in staff development and training within the department.

Stay current with position-specific qualifications and educational programs.
