Data Engineer

Responsibilities

Kforce's notable automotive, travel, and insurance client is looking for a Data Engineer to join their Walnut Creek, CA or Phoenix, AZ team. Our client is building out a new engineering team with a focus on Artificial intelligence and they need help in the Data Engineering within GCP and ML / AI Engineering group.Day to Day :

• Use experience and knowledge of Google Cloud Storage, Big Query, Airflow Composer, Cloud Data Fusion, Cloud Functions, Python, SQL and GitHub to build, modify and maintain the Company Mountain West Group Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW)
• Collaborate as a member of a high-performing Agile data engineering scrum team
• Collaborate with the EDW development team, the larger Data and Integrations engineering team, the Production Data Support team and internal business stakeholders to design and develop new functionality, and to troubleshoot then resolve reported problems
• Use Google Gemini AI to generate detailed system documentation for new and modified data pipelines
• Clarifies competing priorities, making progress on all assignments, while completing those of highest impact first

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical / dental / vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
