Job description
The Electrical Mechanic 1 is a safety sensitive position that requires following procedures for product assembly, fabrication, equipment operation & safety requirements.
Key Duties and Responsibilities :
- Use a variety of tools & equipment to assemble product according to required specifications & procedures. This includes assembly of electrical components; wire build up & wire routing in monuments
- Responsible for the quality of the product
- Responsible for tool accountability & maintenance within the Electrical Shop area
- Responsible for keeping the work area clean and safe
The Electrical Mechanic 2 is a safety sensitive position that requires following procedures for product assembly, fabrication, equipment operation & safety requirements. Responsible for executing the higher complexity work within the wire shop. Guide & teach entry level employees as a peer mentor.
Key Duties and Responsibilities :
Demonstrate technical ability to read & interpret engineering drawings, technical orders, process specifications, & retrofit requirements to perform electrical modification / repairPerform job duties under minimal supervisionProficient with Syteline or equivalent ERP systemPerform all duties of Electrical Mechanic 1 proficiently & consistentlyAbility to use precision measuring instruments, calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc., necessary to check dimensions & conformance to quality requirementsAbility to complete associated paperwork & complete job ordersResponsible for the proper performance of assignments & the prudent handling of product, tools and equipmentPerform complex connector terminations including shielded wires, coaxial cablesTests continuity of circuit to ensure electrical compatibility & safety of components with testing instrumentsMeasures, cuts, insert, & assembles electrical routing materialsAbility to understand & interpret electrical schematicsWorks in a team environment participating in continuous improvement activitiesUtilizes small hand crimp tools, wires striper, wrenches, screwdriver & pliersSplices wires by stripping insulation from terminal leads & applying terminal capsCreate, Print & Apply Wire LabelsRoute wire through panels & terminate as requiredRoute wire through closet furniture & terminate second endUnderstand wire handling & routing instructionsInterpret standard work instructions, charts, tables, blueprints, wire diagrams, formulas, sketches, verbal & electronic orders, job layouts, etc. to accomplish assigned workPerform tying & closure of wire harnesses & cables in accordance with standard processesResponsible for the quality of the productResponsible for tool accountability & maintenance within the Electrical Shop areaResponsible for keeping the work area clean & safeAble to provide daily status updatesAny other duties assigned by a Senior Electrical MechanicBut what else?
