Registered Architect (RA)
8+ years of architectural experience, including at least 2 years leading projects or teams
Proven ability to manage multiple projects, schedules, budgets, and stakeholders simultaneously
Strong leadership, communication, and mentoring skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project) and PDF mark-up tools (., Bluebeam)

Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager – Architect to join our team in Topeka, KS. This role serves as the primary point of contact from project concept through construction closeout, ensuring schedules, budgets, quality, and client expectations are met or exceeded.
The Project Manager leads multidisciplinary teams, coordinates consultants, and ensures design intent is carried through construction, while also mentoring emerging professionals and contributing to a collaborative, high-performance culture.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the full project lifecycle, including planning, programming, design development, construction documents, bidding/negotiation, construction administration, and closeout
Manage project scope, schedules, and budgets; develop work plans, track milestones, forecast fees, and proactively address risks and changes
Serve as the primary client liaison, leading presentations and maintaining clear, consistent communication
Coordinate architects, interior designers, and consultants (structural, MEP, civil, to ensure design cohesion and technical accuracy
Support proposals, negotiate consultant agreements, track contract compliance, and assist with business development efforts
Oversee QA/QC reviews, code analysis, permitting documentation, and compliance with firm standards and best practices
Lead construction administration activities, including submittal reviews, RFIs, ASIs/PRs/COs, site visits, punch lists, and field observation reports
Proactively identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies
Maintain organized project documentation, meeting minutes, decision logs, and status reports
Mentor and manage staff by delegating work, supporting professional development, and fostering accountability
Adapt to changing priorities and recommend process improvements to enhance project delivery
