What You'll Do

As our Director of Nursing (DON), you'll oversee the daily operations of the Health and Wellness department to ensure the highest standard of resident care. You will :

• Lead, train, and inspire the care team to deliver exceptional clinical and personal support.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations while maintaining Charter's compassionate standards of care.
• Oversee resident assessments, care plans, and medication management.
• Build trusted relationships with residents, families, and team members.
• Collaborate closely with the Executive Director and department heads to support community operations and resident wellbeing.
• Serve as a role model for ethical practice, strong communication, and proactive problem-solving.

What You'll Bring

Active RN or LPN license in the state of Connecticut.

Leadership experience in assisted living, long-term care or memory care settings (minimum 23 years preferred).

Strong understanding of regulatory compliance, quality assurance, and clinical best practices.

Excellent communication, team development, and critical thinking skills.

Compassion, patience, and a genuine passion for enhancing the human spirit.
