Job Description
PCG is seeking a Compensation Specialist for its Salary Payroll department based in Lenexa, KS . This individual will:
- Complete and validate salary survey data for multiple submissions.
- Benchmark jobs against survey and market data to review competitive compensation practices.
- Analyze, compile, and validate semi-annual reports for the compensation committee, including employment and compensation trends, geographic differential overview, compensation survey and benchmarking results, and providing recommendations on continuous improvement and competitiveness of company compensation practices.
- Facilitate and administer salaried incentive compensation program including creation of import files, validating data, maintaining employee information, and providing comprehensive reporting for the bonus committee.
- Implement salary compensation merit changes, promotional changes, title changes, and location updates within internal systems, as directed by the compensation manager.
- Maintain salaried positions and compensation structure, including jobs, pay grades, compensation ranges, and geographic differentials.
- Ad hoc reporting and other special projects as assigned
Requirements
Basic Requirements:
- Previous compensation or payroll experience
- Bachelor’s degree or technical degree in Finance, Business, Human Resources, or related field
- High Proficency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
Minimum Requirements:
- Must possess analytical skills to apply research and statistics in report writing
- Demonstrate experience handling confidential information and sensitive data
- Excellent organization, follow-through, and customer service skills required
- Exemplary communication, interpersonal, and writing skills required
- Strong attention to detail
- Self-motivated, improvement-focused and customer-oriented mindset
- Demonstrate adaptability and flexibility in a fast-paced work environment
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to multitask
Preferred Requirements :
- Local to the Kansas City metro area
- Working knowledge of compensation surveys
- Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) certification preferred.
