Litigation Legal Assistant for St. Petersburg Law Firm located in the Gateway Area, near Gandy Bridge and Howard Franklin on the St. Pete side.. This is a permanent position. This position requires litigation experience. The practice area is a variety of insurance defense litigation matters. The law firm offers full benefits, including health insurance, dental, vision, Life and disability, paid parking, 20 days of PTO, 401K, plus more. Also, it’s a 37.5 hour work week.

Typical duties will include

• preparing, proofreading and finalizing pleadings, motions, orders and correspondence;
• efiling with the courts;
• being able to look up court dockets and knowing Judge’s preferences when sending documents;
• scheduling meetings, hearings, depositions, mediations and trials;
• preparing notices; managing the calendar for court events, deadlines;
• following up with your attorneys regarding upcoming hearings, meetings and deadlines;
• communicating with all parties involved in a matter; via telephone, email and other forms of communication;
• managing and profiling emails, documents and files and other legal assistant duties
