THIS POSITION REPORTS TO : Dietary Director

OBJECTIVE :

Regency Palms Long Beach is an employer that endeavors to provide an environment at its facilities, wherein human dignity prevails. JOB SUMMARY :

Servers will provide dining room services, assist in room tray service and Resident seating. Servers will maintain cleanliness and set-up of the dining room.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Work under the direction of the Dietary Director.
  • Serving of meals to our Residents.
  • Wait, clean, and reset tables.
  • Clean up after all meals, including busing tables, washing off all tables, and re-setting for next meal.
  • Maintain salad bar, server prep area, dish room area (when washing dishes), and beverage areas.
  • Report Residents who miss meals.
  • Employees shall maintain and complete all items as indicated on the kitchen procedure checklist.
  • Perform all duties as directed by the Cook.
  • Wash dishes as part of the rotation.
  • Will assist in putting away Sysco order.
  • Will assist in deep cleaning of kitchen / dining room as directed by supervisor and / or cook.

QUALIFICATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS :

  • In a typical (7.5) hour shift, servers will routinely be required to stoop, carry, bend, squat, kneel crouch, climb, grip, reach, push and pull and will occasionally be required to lift overhead, waist high and floor level. Dishwashers will be required to lift up to 20 pounds, unassisted, routinely on a daily basis.
  • The above list is not intended to be all-inclusive and at times the employee may be required to perform other duties as assigned by the Administrator or their designated supervisors.
  • Must be in good health and physically and mentally capable of performing assigned tasks.
  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • Good Physical health shall be verified by a health screening performed by a physician not more than (6) months prior to or (7) days following employment. This certification must verify that the Server has no communicable diseases, open lesions, or any other health problem, which could interfere with individual’s job performance. Grandfathered employees are exempt from this requirement.
  • Must be criminally cleared by DOJ and FBI via the Live-Scan process prior to employment. Grandfathered employees are exempt from this requirement.
  • All employees are expected to report to work on time or give your supervisor sufficient notice (i.e. minimum of four hours).
  • Maintain a compassionate and caring attitude toward the Residents.
