As an Entry-Level Civil Engineer (EI) in our Las Cruces Engineering Group, you will work alongside industry experts to develop solutions for infrastructure projects.

Your Role & Responsibilities

In this role, you will contribute to:

• Permitting & Regulatory Support - Assist with permitting processes and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal requirements.
• Site & Infrastructure Design - Support grading, earthwork, roadway, and utility (water, wastewater, gas) design efforts.
• Design Drafting & Technical Documentation - Prepare design drawings, maintain project records, and contribute to preliminary engineering reports.
• GIS & Data Modeling - Develop and maintain GIS databases and perform computer-based engineering analyses.
• Construction Cost Estimating - Contribute to accurate budgeting and cost estimation for engineering projects.
• Construction Support - Participate in inspection duties to ensure quality and compliance during construction phases.

What We Are Looking For

• Academic Excellence - bachelor's degree in civil engineering (or within one semester of graduation) with a minimum 3.0 GPA.
• Certification & Experience - You have earned your Engineer Intern (EI) certification.
• Technical Proficiency - Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Bluebeam Revu, ESRI ArcMap, and Microsoft Office.
• Strong Communication Skills - Ability to articulate technical concepts clearly in both written and verbal formats.
• Problem-Solving Mindset - A self-starter who is organized, detail-oriented, and eager to innovate.
• Commitment to Professional Growth - A proactive learner who welcomes feedback and continuously seeks improvement.
