Senior Full Stack Java Developer

Piper Companies is seeking a Senior Full Stack Java Developer who will be responsible for reducing mainframe dependency and building cloud-native solutions. The Full stack engineer will be hybrid in Merrimack, NH.

Responsibilities for the Senior Full Stack Java Developer include:

-Design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance applications using Java, Spring, and Spring Boot

-Build and test end-to-end data pipelines and APIs to bridge mainframe systems with AWS cloud infrastructure

-Collaborate with architects, product owners, and peer developers to deliver technical improvements and platform enhancements

-Participate in code reviews, CI/CD pipeline development, and testing automation

-Use observability tools to monitor and troubleshoot production systems

Requirements for the Senior Full Stack Java Developer include:

-7+ years of experience in Java, Spring, and Spring Boot development

-Strong understanding of OOP principles, collections, and multithreading

-Hands-on experience with AWS services including EKS/ECS, Lambda, S3, CloudWatch, SQS, EC2, IAM

-Experience with Kafka for event-driven architecture and real-time data processing

-Familiarity with Terraform or AWS CloudFormation for infrastructure as code

-Experience with SQL or NoSQL databases; familiarity with CockroachDB is a plus

-Solid understanding of testing frameworks and CI/CD pipelines

-Exposure to front-end frameworks and UI development is a plus

Compensation for the Senior Full Stack Java Developer includes:

-Hourly rate: $-hr
