Survey CAD Technician (Chesapeake, VA)

Position Summary :

The Survey Technician's primary function is the production of survey computations, work maps and plats. Typical projects will include plot plans, mortgage surveys, boundary plats, grading plans, and topographic surveys. Some field work may be required with this position. You will be responsible for meeting project schedules as assigned by your supervisor.

Job Responsibilities :

• Post survey field data processing
• Create mapping from field crew data to meet the client / job specific requirements
• Preparation and set-up of survey data for field crews
• Deed and reference map plotting
• Calculations for construction layout, as-built surveys and / or sketches
• Grade sheet preparation
• ALTA / NSPS land title survey, subdivision plats, lot consolidations
• Preparation of Metes & Bounds descriptions
• Drafting of FEMA Elevation certificate
• Perform other duties as assigned
