Senior Principal Relationship Manager (Remote-Eligible)

Our US & Canadian Markets team is seeking a Senior Principal Relationship Manager to manage our relationships with major Marketplace platforms. This role will focus on building relationships with key marketplace participants and serving as the primary strategic liaison with decision-makers across company divisions.

Key Responsibilities Include :

Negotiating contracts pricing agreements and incentives while ensuring compliance

Identifying new business opportunities by performing market analysis maintaining an opportunity pipeline and advising participants on new initiatives

Providing market insights to internal teams (Product Marketing Operations)

Creating strategic account plans with key participants to proactively identify and grow business value

Client Engagement : Ability to travel 25-30% to meet with clients

The Ideal Candidate will possess :

Strong negotiation and communication skills including the ability to tailor communication across different leadership levels

Deep knowledge of the payments industry particularly debit and credit pricing

Demonstrated entrepreneurial drive proactive approach and ability to anticipate market trends within the vertical

Basic Qualifications :

High School Diploma GED or equivalent certification

At least 10 years of payments industry experience in sales relationship management business development strategy operations marketing project management or finance

Preferred Qualifications :

Bachelors Degree in Business Finance or Marketing

12 years of payments industry experience in sales relationship management business development strategy operations marketing project management or finance

Experience influencing key stakeholders executive level clients or internal business partners

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

Chicago IL : $155300 - $177200 for Senior Principal Relationship Management

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidates offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation which may include cash bonus(es) and / or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
