Key Responsibilities :
- Create detailed 3D models and 2D drawings of custom designs.
- Assist in product development from concept to completion.
- Ensure all designs comply with relevant safety, quality, and industry standards.
- Collaborate with engineers and clients to refine design specifications and ensure the product meets both functional and cost-efficient construction requirements.
- Review and modify designs as necessary based on feedback.
- Produce accurate technical drawings and models of individual parts for manufacturing processes.
- Maintain organized documentation and design records.
- Troubleshoot design issues and provide innovative solutions.
Required Qualifications :
Proven experience as a drafter / designer, preferably in a custom design or manufacturing environment.Proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD software (AutoCAD and Inventor).Strong knowledge of design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.Ability to work both independently and as part of a team to produce 1st time quality designs and drawings.Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with clients, engineers, and production teams.Desired Qualifications :
A degree or certification in Drafting, Design, or a related field.3 - 5 years minimum relevant experience.Understanding of GD&T.Experience in Microsoft Office products Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and TEAMS.Experience in lofting.Experience in developing 2D cutting files for CNC metal cutting purposes.Experience in heavy structural steel welded designs.Experience in CVN and Submarine structural design and drafting.Experience in ASME Code heat exchanger and pressure vessel design.What we offer :
