Chronos Operations, LLC is seeking a

Senior Instructional Designer

to lead the design and development of instructional materials and training programs that support cybersecurity and mission assurance objectives. This role applies adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies to create engaging, effective learning experiences for technical personnel and leadership.

Responsibilities

Design and develop instructional material, including course content, facilitator guides, e-learning modules, and assessments.

Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to develop curriculum aligned with DoD standards and ensure training content supports workforce development, compliance and operational readiness.

Apply adult learning theory and instructional design best practices to cybersecurity and mission assurance training programs.

Collaborate with SMEs to translate complex technical concepts into accessible learning content.

Develop curriculum aligned with the DoD and federal training standards.

Conduct needs assessment and gap analysis to identify training requirements.

Ensure instructional content meets classification, accessibility, and governance requirements.

Stay current with cybersecurity trends, threats, and instructional technologies.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in instructional design or experience in a related field in lieu of degree.

6+ years of experience in instructional design.

Demonstrated experience with DoD curriculum development a plus.

Familiarity with adult learning principles, instructional design models, and e-learning tools.

Must have active Secret Clearance with ability to obtain TS with SCI eligibility.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Proficiency in developing training materials and interactive content.

Strong presentation and facilitation skills across diverse audiences.

Ability to translate complex cybersecurity concepts into accessible training content.

Ability to engage and motivate learners in both technical and leadership roles.

Evaluate training effectiveness and adapt programs accordingly.

Collaborate across departments to align training with mission needs.

Strong organizational skills, with excellent verbal and written ability.

Good work ethic and active desire to learn.

Skillful time management and organizational skills to set and meet deadlines.

Ability to work both independently and within a team.

Ability to meet minimum clearance requirements.

Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.

Ability to travel up to 10%.
