Pereira & Azevedo is seeking a Senior Tax Manager to join our team!

$7,500 SIGNING BONUS OFFERED!

This is a hybrid position

Qualifications

  • We are seeking a CPA tax manager who has at least 10 years of recent public accounting experience.
  • Ideal candidate will have experience serving small to medium sized businesses ($2m - $50m in sales).
  • Must exhibit technical proficiency and have the ability to supervise staff and complete engagements, possess a thorough knowledge of the firm’s policies and procedures, and serve as intermediaries between partners, clients, and staff.

  • Assist firm with establishing strategic direction.
  • Assume responsibility for planning, supervising, and completing engagements.
  • Perform final review of individual and business tax returns and delivery signature ready returns
  • Conduct tax research
  • Suggest tax planning strategies
  • Review engagement documentation, resolve any technical problems, and keep the partner informed.
  • Evaluate the performance of staff & senior accountants.

    • Recognize opportunities to provide additional services to existing clients.

  • Senior Managers will be head of departments as assigned by the partners, and will be responsible for their department.
  • Ensure that the firm’s policies & procedures are followed.
  • Understand the economics of an engagement, including going over budget and making a profit on engagements.
