Kleinfelder is currently seeking a Civil Engineer with 3-6 years' experience for our Las Vegas , NV office.

The ideal candidate will participate in and contribute to a diverse range of engineering services in our team-oriented environment providing public and private clients with professional engineering services for transportation, site, and stormwater engineering design. The work is often fast paced with multiple ongoing projects and deliverables, including a wide variety of tasks with competing priorities. The ideal candidate will possess strong oral and written communication skills, excellent inter-personal skills for working in multiple group settings, and a strong desire to learn, grow, and succeed.

Responsibilities would include:

• Producing CADD design of drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Producing preliminary and final design plans for multiple jurisdictions
• Performing hydraulic calculations for erosion countermeasures and stormwater design.
• Perform water and sewer analysis for sewer and water main infrastructure design.
• Creating site civil plans including grading and utility design.
• Preparing construction cost estimates
• Reading and interpreting agency standard drawings and specifications
• Creating technical reports
• Assist in preparing technical specifications
• Assist in preparing documents for federal, state and local permits

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• Engineer Intern Certification
• 3 – 6 (three to six) years of civil engineering experience, including either site civil, roadway or drainage design.
• Experience in AutoCAD Civil 3D software and Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, and Project).

Preferred Experience:

• Professional Engineering registration in Nevada is a plus
• Experience with HydroCAD, HEC-RAS, HY-8 and other hydraulic modeling software including WaterCAD for pressurized network systems
• Experience with Nevada jurisdictions
