Nashville Public Radio is hiring : Manager, Content Team in Huntsville

We have an immediate opening for a experienced Manager with proven skills in leadership, multi-media content development (written and visual) and desire to support clients.

Responsibilities Lead, coach and oversee our team of 3 full time talented producers who create multimedia content (earned and sponsored) for Huntsville and the surrounding area.

Content oversight includes Hville Blast social channels (Facebook, IG, LI and YouTube)

Create and implement action plans to grow followers and increase engagement across Hville Blast channels.

Oversee client experiences for Hville Blast to ensure high performing campaigns and thoughtful, creative ideas that resonate with our audiences.

Foster an environment of openness, professionalism and continual learning.

Provide timely, effective feedback to team members with the goal of up-leveling skills.

Management duties include informal and formal reviews, career planning, disciplinary action as needed and recruiting talent as needed.

Review, edit and coach team members on ideation and quality execution.

Oversee and implement best practices for posting, engaging, analytics and social listening.

Personal Duties Manager will handle a few clients directly and advise + review campaigns by the team.

Client campaigns may include articles, newsletter blasts or social media campaigns.

Manager will executive earned or client campaigns with the utmost professionalism, adhering to brand standards and company policies.

Work cooperatively with breaking news team to implement editorial calendar.

Work cooperatively with Bham Now and The Bama Buzz teams as needed.

Qualifications You LOVE Huntsville and know the ins and outs of what makes it special.

Proven ability to lead and nurture a team of 3-5 talented creators.

Min 3 years of social media management experience with focus on social video.

You're a professional and know how to work fast and with accuracy.

Proven talent with digital strategy development and action plans to implement.

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, journalism, public relations or related.

Confident, professional communication skills.

You’re excellent at building rapport and know how to converse persuasively.

Adept at analyzing and interpreting social media metrics.

Strong copywriting skills for consumer based media.

Superior, proven visual acumen. Adept at creating and selecting visuals that our audience responds positively to.

Proficient skills needed in the following : Reel creation, Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, email, Monday and Canva.

Impeccable organization skills.
