Job Details:

• Work 12-hour day shifts from 6:45 AM to 5:15 PM with liver call responsibilities
\n• Handle liver transplant cases and other surgical procedures when no liver/transplant cases are scheduled
\n• Guaranteed 36 hours for 3x12 shifts or 40 hours for 8/10 hour shifts
\n• On-call requirement: 1 shift per week and 2 twelve-hour weekend shifts per month
\n• Must have strong liver, heart, lung, and kidney transplant experience (non-negotiable)
\n• Must be proficient in MISONIX/CUSA equipment
\n• Experience required in placing organs in new patients, not just harvesting
\n• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS (must have at time of submission), NIHSS (must obtain prior to start)
\n• Minimum 2 years direct liver/transplant OR RN experience required
\n• Scrub color: Ceil blue
\n• Charting system: EPIC
\n• Must be willing to float within scope to meet facility needs
\n• Must participate in training students and new staff as this is a teaching facility
\n• Must be nicotine-free (smoke-free facility with negative 10 panel + nicotine drug screen required)
\n• EKG and pharmacy test required during 40-hour orientation with maximum 2 attempts each
\n• Complete 6-15 hours of non-billable modules pre-start and annually
\n• All requested time off must be submitted at time of application
\n• Strict attendance policy - facility has a "do not call" policy

The facility maintains Magnet status and operates 18 operating rooms with a daily census of 55-60 patients. The organization focuses on liver, heart, lung, and kidney transplant procedures, requiring highly specialized nursing expertise and state-of-the-art surgical equipment including advanced technology for transplant surgeries.
