Role and Responsibilities:

• Perform High-Quality CT Procedures: Execute a wide range of CT procedures, including but not limited to, head, chest, abdomen, pelvis, and extremities, according to physician orders and established protocols. Ensure accurate patient positioning and utilize appropriate imaging parameters to obtain optimal diagnostic images. Minimize radiation exposure by adhering to ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) principles.
• Patient Care and Assessment: Provide compassionate and professional care to patients of all ages, including infants, adolescents, adults, and geriatric populations. Assess patient conditions and medical histories to ensure safe and effective imaging procedures. Address patient concerns and provide clear explanations of procedures. Start IV's for the injection of contrast.
• Post-Processing and Image Analysis: Perform advanced post-processing techniques, including multiplanar reconstruction (MPR), 3D rendering, and volume rendering. Analyze and interpret CT images to identify anatomical structures and pathological findings. Demonstrate a strong understanding of cross-sectional anatomy and pathology to provide valuable information to radiologists and physicians.
• Equipment Operation and Maintenance: Operate and maintain CT equipment, ensuring proper functionality and adherence to safety standards. Perform quality control checks and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions. Maintain a clean and organized work enviroment.
• Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate effectively with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. Communicate patient information and imaging findings accurately and efficiently. Participate in team meetings and contribute to departmental initiatives.
• Adhere to Regulatory Standards: Comply with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, as well as hospital policies and procedures. Maintain accurate and complete patient records.

Required Qualifications:

• Education: Completion of an accredited radiologic technology program.
• Licensure: Current California Radiologic Technologist (CRT) license upon hire. National Registered Technologist - Radiography (RT(R)) certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) upon hire. National Registered Technologist - Computed Tomography (RT(CT)) certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) within one year of hire.
• Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association upon hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience as a CT Technologist in a hospital or clinical setting.
• Experience with various CT equipment vendors.
• Experience with PACS systems.
