Apex is hiring a Staff Environmental Scientist I or Environmental Engineer I to be based in Vancouver WA. At Apex youll have the opportunity to work alongside a dedicated group of talented engineers scientists and multi-discipline professionals on projects that vary widely in size and complexity- each making a meaningful impact in the communities we serve. This role offers significant room for professional growth.

Your Responsibilities as a Staff Environmental Scientist I or Environmental Engineer I :

• Field collection of environmental samples (air water stormwater wastewater soil)
• Routine regulatory reporting related to stormwater wastewater solid / hazardouswaste and airpermitcompliance
• Preparing environmental management plans related to stormwater pollutionprevention spill prevention and solid waste operations
• Inspection and auditing for environmental compliance
• Problem solvingthroughselectionand implementation ofpollution preventionBest Management Practices fordischarge permit compliance
• Support a variety of environmental engineering tasks for remedial system designand construction
• Assistwith the evaluation and permitting of environmental projects
• Presentationofenvironmentaltopics to employees clientsand contractors
• Travel to project sites within Washington and Oregonrequired
• RepresentApexin a safe and professional manner both internally and externally
