Shift : First Shift - Monday - Friday 8AM - 5PM EST

This is a fully onsite role based at our BIOA Laboratory in Richmond VA. We welcome applicants from all locations within the US. Discover Impactful Work :

Oversees the technical aspects and laboratory conduct of a significant service offering technical area orclient program. Provides focused technical expertise as a key scientific resource for a broad array ofinstrument applications. Provides key technical guidance and assistance to quickly and efficiently resolvecomplex technical issues for both internal support and client needs. Acts as the technical project leaderor subject matter expert for multiple projects or programs interacts with clients to provide technicalproject updates reviews and evaluates data writes reports and protocols and provides input onregulatory addition participates in the evaluation and implementation of new technologiesensuring the laboratory stays current in technologies required to best serve Thermo Fisher Scientific clients and to meet business needs or explore new business growth opportunities.

A day in the Life :

• Oversee setup qualification and validation of an NGS instrument (e.g. Illumina PacBio Ultima)
• Lead evaluation and implementation of spatial sequencing technologies (10x Genomics Chromium Visium Xenium)
• Develop and implement the sequencing strategy for the lab in line with organizational and client objectives
• Mentor scientists and analysts in NGS workflows QC and data interpretation
• Partner with automation bioinformatics and proteomics teams for multi-omics integration
• Represent the lab in vendor partnerships conferences and technical collaborations

Education

Knowledge Skills Abilities

Expert knowledge of sequencing chemistry data QC and assay validation

Experience integrating sequencing with proteomics or other omics technologies
