Human Resources Director
We are looking for an experienced Human Resources Director to lead and manage the HR operations of our motor freight forwarding company based in San Diego, California. Responsibilities :
- Provide strategic oversight and leadership to an HR team consisting of managers and analysts, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
- Develop and implement comprehensive HR policies and programs covering employee relations, benefits administration, compliance, and compensation.
- Lead efforts to ensure compliance with government regulations, including reporting requirements and audits related to Department of Transportation standards.
- Manage multi-state HR operations, addressing varying legal and regulatory requirements effectively.
- Oversee employee relations initiatives, fostering a positive and productive workplace environment.
- Partner with senior leadership to align HR strategies with overall business objectives.
- Evaluate and improve HR systems and processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Conduct regular reviews of compensation and benefits structures to ensure competitiveness and equity.
- Mentor and develop HR team members, promoting growth and collaboration.
- Collaborate on workforce planning and talent acquisition strategies to meet organizational needs.
Requirements :
Minimum of 15 years of broad-based HR experience across various functions.Proven track record in leading and managing HR teams, with a focus on strategic leadership.Master's degree in a relevant field preferred, though a bachelor's degree with substantial experience may be considered.Strong expertise in employee relations, benefits administration, and HR compliance.Knowledge of UKG Pro or similar HRIS platforms.Experience working with government contracts and navigating compliance reporting and audits.Familiarity with multi-state HR operations and associated legal requirements.Business-minded approach to HR leadership, with the ability to align HR initiatives with organizational goals.
