POSITION SUMMARY :
We are currently seeking a proactive and experienced on-site Print Shop Manager who has experience within a printing industry, who can become an integral member of the team.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Partners with shop and remote leadership to provide administrative and managerial support for the designated shop
- Assists Shop Manager in organizing the shop workforce during regular hours or in an extra hours situation
- Monitors jobs in production and communicates with production and graphics specialists any special instructions, proofs, and shipping info
- Contacts clients with questions on specifications and / or questions regarding print job submitted
- Ensures all project deadlines are met and associated cost budgets are adhered to
- Trains shop staff on proper production procedures and techniques
- Ensures that equipment is being properly maintained and upgraded. Recommends new acquisitions that will increases productivity
- Manages inventory and organization of supplies
- Resolves all customer escalations in a professional manner
- Fills in for various departments as needed.
- Other duties as assigned
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED :
High school diploma or equivalentAt least 3 – 5 years experience in a related fieldExperience with Grand Large Format PrintingStrong leadership ability to motivate employeesSuperior customer service ability and experience in working with customers both over the phone and in personAbility to communicate effectively with employees when delegating work and explaining procedures and processesExpert knowledge of equipment and materialsAbility to speak knowledgeably about department capability and company to potential and existing clientsHighly developed organizational abilityAbility to handle multiple tasks without losing focus
