Systems Engineer

Overview

BAI, a defense contractor, is seeking a Systems Engineer / Product Manager with 3+ years of experience to provide Systems Engineering support to the Support Equipment Systems (SE SYS) Externally Directed Team (EDT) and to a variety of support equipment product development and in-service support efforts for Organizational-Level maintenance of Electronic Warfare (EW) weapon systems such as USN / USMC and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) radar warning, missile warning, and electronic countermeasure systems at NAWCWD, Pt Mugu CA. Salary

The typical annual salary range for this position is $100,000.00 USD to $150,000.00 USD. Salary will be based on current qualifications, directly related experience, geographic location, and possible contractual requirements which could fall outside of this range.

Responsibilities

Primary Focus

• Support the Development Lead(s) in both systems engineering activities and project management tasks
• Contribute to multiple projects within the EDT, providing technical expertise and assisting in solving complex technical and programmatic issues related to EW systems maintenance
• Contribute to the identification of system requirements, design, development, and testing for Organizational-Level (O-level) EW systems maintenance hardware and software solutions used to assess EW system operational availability. This involves ensuring that proposed maintenance test solutions align with Fleet flight line maintenance test requirements and meet specified performance criteria

EDUCATION

Degree : BS or BA degree in Systems Engineering or a relevant technical discipline.

Allowable Substitution : An additional 6 years of relevant work experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree, or 4 additional years of work experience with a relevant associate degree. Between 3 to 10 years of experience performing the duties described in the functional description.

CLEARANCE – Secret

Condition of Employment :   Applicant must have an active DoD Secret Clearance. The applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
