This company is looking for someone who excels at product quality improvement, energy savings projects, throughput enhancement and yield improvement projects. In other words, they're looking for someone who combines both a strong fundamental engineering skillset with creativity (conceptual level process engineering). The name of the game, primarily, in this role will be process scale-up; the current pilot is producing product and part of this role will be helping this company determine what next steps will look like. They will investing millions of dollars in the next year towards this effort and you will be joining a small team that is already in place. Location :

My client would prefer someone who is based at the site, but they are willing to consider a hybrid arrangement where someone can be based elsewhere, but is likely traveling 50-60% of the time. The plant site is located in the Western suburbs of Chicago - reasonable cost-of-living and lots of amenities in the area. This area is close to the Fox River which boasts miles and miles of walking / running / cycling trails. The Big City is about 45 minutes' drive or an hour train ride.
