CDL Equipment Operator Water Blasting / Highway Maintenance

Objectives of this Role

• Operate heavy equipment with the highest priority of achieving accuracy

Daily and Monthly Responsibilities

• Must be able to operate heavy equipment proficiently and with minimal supervision once trained
• Interact with inspectors, DOT personnel, and Engineers as needed
• Communicate with operators or supervisors to ensure production runs smoothly
• Daily inspection of equipment
• Must be mechanically inclined & inspect and maintain equipment schedule
• Must be safety-conscious in all conditions
• Wear P.P.E as required

Skills and Qualifications

• Class A Drivers license with tanker endorsement and good driving record, complete inspections, logs and fuel reports
• Ability to make decisions in difficult conditions
• Mechanical ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment
• Knowledge of job-specific safety practices

Requirements

• U.S. Work Authorization
• Mechanical aptitude
• Ability to lift and move up to 75 pounds
• Ability to work overnight if the project necessitates
• Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions, including heat, cold, wind, rain, and dusty environments
• Must be able to pass drug screening
• Must be able to stand on concrete for long periods of time
• Ability to maneuver on or around equipment & be able to get under equipment to work on it

Preferred Qualifications

• Two plus years operating a water blaster truck
