Material Handler

Job Description

Responsibilities :

• Loading and Unloading : Handle the loading and unloading of materials within the warehouse or storage facility.
• Equipment Operation : Utilize hand trucks, forklifts, hoists, conveyors, or other handling equipment to move materials to and from aircraft, trucks, trains, and within the storage area.
• Inventory Management : Verify incoming deliveries, label products, and maintain an updated inventory record.
• Returns Handling : Process returns by completing necessary documentation and communication.
• Equipment Maintenance : Ensure material handling equipment is well-maintained through regular inspections.
• Collaboration : Work with internal departments to locate missing packages, correct delivery errors, and replace damaged products. Skills and Qualifications :
• Physical Stamina : Frequent heavy lifting requires physical strength and coordination.
• Organizational Skills : Sort and manage inventories accurately.
• Basic Math Skills : Count and measure quantities precisely.
• Experience : Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a related position. (0-2 years)
• Communication : Strong communication skills for collaboration.
• Attention to Detail : Be precise in labeling, inventory tracking, and handling procedures.
• Remember that Material Handlers typically work under immediate supervision and follow established guidelines.
