Job Details - OR RN Travel Assignment Position : Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) - Surgical Short Stay / Observation Location : Charleston, SC 29407 (South Carolina healthcare job) Assignment Type : Travel nursing contract Start Date : November 24, 2025 End Date : February 23, 2026 Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Nights, 3x12-hour shifts (18 : 00 - 06 : 30), Monday through Thursday Hours per Week : 36 Weekends : No weekends required Holidays : No holidays required On-Call : Not required Unit : Six-bay 23-hour observation unit within a surgery center PACU Estimated Weekly Salary : $1530 - $1640 Registered Nurse Qualifications Active South Carolina or Multi-State / Compact RN license (must be active prior to start date) BLS and ACLS certifications required Minimum 1 year of recent registered nurse experience (2 years preferred) First-time travel nurses welcome Preferred experience in airway assessment, ambulatory / outpatient care, conscious sedation, medication reconciliation, nerve blocks, phlebotomy, pre / post-op care, and IV therapy Strong teamwork and communication skills in a fast-paced clinical environment OR RN Responsibilities Deliver high-quality patient care in a surgical short stay / observation setting Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and operating room staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes Monitor and assess patients pre- and post-operatively, including vital signs, pain management, and recovery progress Administer medications and treatments as ordered Maintain accurate and timely electronic health records and documentation Promote a safe and secure environment for patients and staff, with overnight building security provided Float to other observation units as needed or be called off if census is low Take the next step in your nursing career with this rewarding travel nurse job in Charleston, SC.
