The Director of Research Infrastructure Partnerships provides strategic leadership for Internet2's national cyberinfrastructure initiatives and international partnerships in support of Internet2's efforts to advance opportunities to convene, collaborate, and partner with a wider array of research and education institutions. This role drives organizational impact by cultivating high-value partnerships across academia, government, and industry, advancing innovative grant-funded programs, and developing measurable service outcomes.

As a visible and influential leader in the research and education cyberinfrastructure community, the director will represent Internet2 within national cyberinfrastructure governance, working groups, advisory boards, and conferences. They will help shape best practices, strengthen community cohesion, and ensure that Internet2 actively contributes to the advancement of the U.S. research ecosystem through service innovation, data-driven insights, and collaborative leadership. The director will also lead Internet2's performance evaluation strategy ensuring that resource allocation, service performance, community benefit, ecosystem alignment, and research impact are clearly measured, communicated, and improved over time. They will work across internal teams to build a unified assessment framework that guides investment decisions, informs service evolution, and strengthens Internet2's contributions to the national cyberinfrastructure ecosystem.

This position will report to the Executive Director for Research Engagement.

Key Responsibilities :

• Direct strategies for engaging cyberinfrastructure resource providers at national laboratories, major facilities, commercial resource providers, funders, and other resource-providing stakeholders.
• Partner with other Internet2 cyberinfrastructure engagement initiatives to track and articulate emerging trends in research computing, data services, cloud integration, and advanced cyberinfrastructure to guide forward-looking programs and service evolution, both within Internet2 and nationally, across partners and funding agencies.
• Advise Internet2 and partner cyberinfrastructure services to ensure alignment with community needs, member interests, and federal compliance.
• Represent Internet2 at conferences, working groups, and strategic meetings.
• Build, develop and lead a support staff, other resources and stakeholders to accomplish the goals mentioned above.
