Job Title : Bagging Operator

Job Description

This role involves overseeing the safe and efficient operation of process and packaging equipment from start-up to shut-down, ensuring the production of safe, quality food for human consumption. The position may also include the mixing and cooking of candy recipes.

Responsibilities

• Change programs and parameters in chocolate tempering machines, depositors, enrobers, and other related machinery.
• Assemble pipes, pumps, and kettle parts for cooking and mixing candy recipes, using common hand tools.
• Follow recipes to weigh ingredients, mix and cook using equipment, and measure temperature, viscosity, and brix.
• Operate both old manual machines and newer computer-controlled machines, performing setups and changeovers as needed.
• Utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) for various tasks related to cooking and operating equipment.

This is a direct hire opportunity with a stable company in the food industry. You will enjoy a four-day work week from Monday to Thursday and have the opportunity for a raise after six months. The environment is climate-controlled year-round at 69-70 degrees, making it comfortable for work. Second shift offers a premium pay as well.

Work Environment

The facility operates under GMP regulations and maintains a temperature that varies from 69 to 70 degrees. The first shift hours are from 6 am to 4 : 30 pm. The factory produces chocolate-covered nuts and candies for major retailers.

The pay range for this position is $45760.00 - $50000.00 / yr.
