Certified Radiology Technician / IR / EP - Cardiac Cath Lab

The Temecula Valley Hospital Cardiac Cath Lab Radiology Tech is responsible for anticipating instrumentation / equipment for a wide range of simple and complex procedures. Selects appropriate instrumentation, catheters, and supplies consistent with Radiologist's / Cardiologist's preference. Ensures sterile environment is set up and organized prior to patient's arrival into room. Assists in transportation and positioning of patients.

Extensive knowledge in the use of an auto injector.

Competent at table side scrub in with physicians on various Cath and / or Interventional Radiology (IR) procedures.

Understands the use of an IVUS machine.

Solid understanding of English, grammar, and punctuation.

Ability to exercise independent judgment on a regular basis.

Ability to communicate effectively and to foster teamwork among fellow staff members.

Must have experience in performing a variety of Interventional Radiology procedures, e.g., PICC Line insertions, aortic run-offs, dialysis catheter insertions, percutaneous nephrostomy tube insertions / exchanges, Quintin Catheter procedures, or tunneled Catheter insertions, etc.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years' experience as a registered Radiology Technologist in an acute care facility
• Interventional Neurology and / or EP experience strongly preferred
• Graduate from a certified school of Radiologic Technology
• Active California Radiology Technologist (CRT) license along with fluoro license and active American Registry of Radiology Technologists (ARRT) license required
• Current BLS and ACLS from the American Heart Association required
