[job_card.job_description]Performs various manual tasks in the construction & maintenance of overhead power lines to include digging trenches, setting poles, installing wires and transformers, performing routine maintenance checks, and assisting the lineman with their tasks. Assemble materials on the ground and hoist them into the work area using handlines. Assist other crew members filling pole holes and trench using a shovel. Flag traffic and set up job sites as directed. Maintain organization of tools and materials on work vehicles. Clean up and organize job sites at completion of work.
Job Requirements
- Valid CDL A is preferred but not required. Within 90 days to obtain.
- Must be able to pass drug, alcohol, and background checks.
- Must be able to pass a physical examination.
- Able and willing to travel long distances on short notice.
- Able and willing to work for extended periods in various locations.
- Able and willing to work in all types of weather environments including inclement weather.
- Able and willing to work overtime when required.
- Understanding of the utility industry and operations.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent organization and time management skills.
- High level of professionalism and integrity.
- Excellent leadership and management skills.
- Ability to make decisions.
- Ability to process and analyze data.
