Associate Placement Specialist / Life Science Placement

- Ideal candidate will be based in the NYM area and be in the office 3 days per week
In this role, we will count on you to :
Handle your own renewal placements and have opportunities to work alongside a senior placement broker to handle more complex risks and placements as well as new business opportunitiesDevelop and present a renewal strategy; ensure a completed submission and send to market; negotiate broad coverage terms; document all placement activities to ensure timely follow up by client, carriers and client teamInspect the binding of coverage and is responsible for the accuracy of placement bindersComplete policy reviews and confirm policy language to support policy renewal processBuild relationships within your team, colleagues, insurance markets, clients, carriers and / or underwriters to provide cohesive client serviceConsult management on complex client issues or trends through clear and concise communication and participate in development of solutionsEnsure client renewal transactions are compliant with our Client First Principles / Standards and Best PracticesAssist in special projects within teamConsult with client executives and client teams to support client retention and new business productionMaintain a solid knowledge of market risk issues, insurance brokerage, account management, servicing and sales skills. Have a detailed understanding of changing insurance and risk management market conditionsWhat is in it for you :

Minimum 3+ years of Life Science insurance industry experienceBachelor's degree requiredP & C licensed preferred, OR able to obtain within 12 months of employmentProficiency in Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook) and the ability to learn proprietary applications / databasesWhy join our team :
