Job Description:
The Pulmonary pathology service partners with a busy Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine Division as well as renowned Transplant Center. Within the Pulmonary Division, we have specialized UF Health Lung Cancer Center, UF Adult Cystic Fibrosis Center, Interstitial Lung Disease Program, and Rare Lung Disease Clinic among others. In addition, for the past several years, the UF Health Lung Transplant Program has consistently ranked in the top nationwide on various quality metrics by the Scientific Registry of Transplant Recipients. As such, the applicant should demonstrate experience and competency in neoplastic, non-neoplastic, and transplant pulmonary pathology. The UF Health System presents a rich variety of inpatient and outpatient clinical material and consultations.
Primary service responsibilities include sign-out, tumor board and clinical conferences, frozen section and AP call coverage. The successful applicant will contribute to medical student, resident and fellowship training in accredited programs within Pathology. Scholarly study and investigation in the applicant's area of interest is expected. The successful applicant has an opportunity for departmental leadership role in Thoracic pathology.

Minimum Requirements:
Applicants must have an M.D. or D.O. degree, board certification in Anatomic Pathology, and possess or be eligible for a Florida Medical license. Subspecialty fellowship training or extensive experience in pulmonary pathology is also required.
